Phish Tour: Paul Kreizenbeck

By Jimmy Tolan / Author

Everything’s right, so just hold tight because Phish’s annually anticipated summer tour is finally underway!  Along with the mind meltingly beautiful music comes equally definitive art from a very talented pool of artist.  The first of these artist to emerge is Paul Kreizenbeck with his surreal take on the Tahoe landscape for the July 17th and 18th two night stand in Stateline, NV.  For this diptych setup Paul had mentioned the necessity of lakes for all Tahoe prints, but he was also entertained by mythical creature stories such as Bigfoot, (which you can actually see a small silhouette of in the July 18th print) and the famed Loch Ness monster. While doing his research he came across “Tahoe Tessie”  which is Tahoe’s very own elusive giant serpent like creature, and knew he had to bring her into this piece. These 18×24 5 color screen prints were available at the venue limited to 650 each for the show posters and only 50 of each on the AP’s he released on his website which you can check out here along with other great works by him.
